The Groups option allows those with the appropriate permissions to create group codes which can be used system wide - Subscribers to the Full Groups module have access to payments to Suppliers for groups whereas the Lite groups module provides less options
Creating new group Codes is a similar process to creating Product or Supplier Codes ( try to make them talk)
